Patch Hill Forge is the culmination of a decades-long dream. I stepped away from corporate America to pursue a passion for design and the repurposing of old and new materials into unique functional artistic pieces for your home.
Instead of “Farm-to-table”, perhaps think of Patch Hill Forge as “Barn-to-table”. Whenever possible, I source materials within 50 miles; items of historical or aesthetic interest discovered in a barn or attic, and given new life instead of being lost forever. If I can, I’ll provide the provenance of the piece so that its history can live on.
When I use new materials I also try to source these locally – wood often comes from sustainably-felled trees on my property, limiting carbon emissions.
About the artist: I emigrated to America in the late nineties from London, England. I’m a doctor of aerospace engineering and have spent many years consulting and managing in the private sector.
But functional design is my passion, and thankfully I have a supportive family enabling me to follow that passion. When you place one of my pieces in your home, I hope it will be cherished for generations to come.
